 There were many plagues that happened in British history. The worst was in 1665 – almost 100,000people were killed in London alone! 1.    - What was the Great Plague of 1665?        Bubonic plague terrorized Europe for centuries.  In 1665 a devasting epidemic struck this        country killing thousands of people. Officially the 'Great Plague' killed 68,595 people in            London that year.
